Note - this site only works with a limited number of recent, cutting edge browsers. If you're having trouble using the complex searches, the first thing to do is update your browser. Try one of these:
Firefox - my browser of choice, available on Windows, Linux, OSX, OS2, Solaris, NetBSD! And... it's free!
Mozilla - the original great Mozilla browser. A bit more reliable than Firefox, but also a bit more weighty. Available on same platforms as Firefox, plus AIX and HPUX! Whats your excuse?
IE 6 - Yea, IE mostly works too. Not as well, as it only pays lip service to the standards, but usable. Note: IE 5.5 and before do NOT WORK AT ALL. Really.
Galeon 1.2+ - a nice, Mozilla based Linux browser
Safari - the latest version of Safari, on OSX 10.4 or later, appears to work fine. However, it hasn't been extensively tested. Older versions will NOT work.
These browsers are known to not work... though it's quite possible they will in future versions
Opera
Konqueror
IE 5.5 and earlier - In the menu, go "Help"->"About Internet Explorer" to see what version you have. Go to Windows Update to upgrade your version to 6.0 if you have an older version.
There's still a lot to do (check out my notes) but things should be more than useable (let me know if not!)
Mail me your mud name and a password for database update access. DO NOT use your mud password, your bank password, or your yahoo password, otherwise I will steal your cookies!
If things are running slow for you, make sure you have caching enabled. In IE just make sure it's set to "auto", in Mozilla just make sure you have some space reserved for the cache. There are a few things I'll be doing on the backend to help, but this will probably be the #1 improvement. Also, at least on my machine, Mozilla is waaay faster to display results. YMMV.
